She was always unselfish, helpful, and kind, what beautiful memories she has left behind.

Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Prayers for Marijke Blake to be held at St Mary of the Angels Basilica, Yarra Street, Geelong on THURSDAY (April 21) commencing at 11.30am, followed by a Private Cremation.

A beautiful woman who always looked immaculate and cared so much for everyone around her. An incredible midwife who taught us so much about caring for woman and being organised. A smile that lit up a room! We will miss you Marijke!

Beautiful memories of a much loved colleague. Maryke was a kind hearted and thoughtful and had a meticulous eye for detail. She was always thinking of others. She will be greatly missed. Rest easy Maryke.

Marijke was one of my mother's dearest friends. I always thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever known. I especially loved her stunning blond hair! Marijke has been a part of our family for as long as I can remember - from sharing family holidays at the snow to celebrating the birth of children and visits to our Yarra Valley home, Marijke was always a delight to have around. She was warm, cheerful and quick to focus on the positive. She will be sorely missed. May she rest in Peace. All our love to Kristen and Phillip. As a school friend of Kristen's, I have very fond memories of Marijke. I remember her warm smile and frequent winks, in uniform setting off for work as a midwife with her beautiful blonde hair swept back in an elegant French roll and driving us around in her red Volkswagen beetle. She was always interested and welcoming, and I loved her company. Rest in peace, lovely Marijke.

Our beautiful sister Marijke has finally found her peace. She was a huge part of our and our children's lives with her sense of humour, intelligence, warmth and sense of style making her a delight to be around.

I am so sorry I will be unable to attend due to overseas travel.
Marijke was the most friendly of people. She routinely greeted everyone when she took a lift and engaged everyone in conversation. She liked people to smarten themselves up and not to dwell on gloom and doom. She was so good at tidying up and set a good example for the juniors. We miss her beautiful face and sense of humor so much.
