Maria passed away peacefully at home.
Much loved sister of Julia and sister-in-law of Luigi.
Aunt to Tony, Rosie & Justin.
Great Aunt to Jade and Ellie.
She will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.

Maria I will always remember seeing your collection of Cold Chiesel and thinking wow, you were the first person I knew who went against the grain.
I see myself in you in various ways.
I'm happy that I got to see you at Michael's funeral and had the opportunity to give you a big kiss and hug.
Be with your beautiful pets and animals that you cared for during the animal shelter volunteering years.

Maria was a friend and much loved colleague at Perpetual for many years!

Maria it's hard to believe you're gone but I know you are at now at peace.
You moved to the beach and it was the best thing you ever did. I could see it made you happy and you met wonderful neighbours like Karen & many other friends.
You also had your cheeky cute boy Spike that you took for walks everyday & can't forget your funny Missy.
You fought a tough battle until the end.
My deepest condolences to the family.

Maria, I still feel that you are here with us. I guess after knowing you for more than 40 years and being your friend for that time, it is only natural I still feel you are here with me.
I will always have the wonderful time’s we spent together as training partners; we travelled around all over Melbourne to do our high impact aerobics classes and we were so good at them. I don't think there was an aerobic challenge we couldn't achieve.
When you moved to Clifton Springs we didn't get to see as much of each other, but this was the best decision you made for your quality of life, I believe you found absolute happiness in your new home there, especially after getting Missy and then Spike. To top it off you meet a wonderful neighbour who became an even more wonderful friend, Karen is truly a God sent.
I know you made the decision because only You would know that this decision was the right one for you.
I know you are at peace; however I will miss you terribly Maria.

I met maria some years ago whilst out walking our rescue dogs ( her Spike and my Taco) just before she started having issues with her health and it took a while to diagnose ... it proved to be a cruel disease robbing her of speech initially , which she dealt with bravely with a smile and was thankfully able to keep walking her pooch with friends and we would hug and enjoy the beach
Recently I realised she wasn’t coming to the beach anymore because she was too ill ...
Today I felt terribly depressed and I happened to look at the local obituaries and I knew she had fallen asleep in death
I’m so thankful for such a cheerful caring soul with a pure heart who loved family and friends and loved her Spike
I’ll miss seeing her coming towards me on her daily walks back then
I had another friend named Maria who succumbed to MND at similar age what a devastating illness !!! One day this illness will be gone this is my conviction for sure

Maria was an amazing friend. We worked together for many years and would spend Friday lunchtimes having chips and gravy and a glass of wine, trying to solve the world's problems. I was fortunate to catch up with her in December where we shared many tears but laughter also.
Maria was a warrior and fought a great battle.
