Born Monday June 22, 1942. Passed away Wednesday May 10, 2023.
We are sad to announce Mel passed away on Wednesday 10th May after a brief battle with lymphoma.
Aged 80 years young
He was a loving Husband to Carol, and beloved Father to Paul, Nicole, Kirstyn, Sarah, Jess and Alex. Special Father in law to Paul, Luke, Matt and Matt.
Much loved Grandfather (Poppa) and Great Grandfather.
Brilliant brother, uncle, cousin, son in law and brother in law and to so many an amazing friend.
He will be terribly missed but remembered with many smiles for his love of life, shared with all who knew him.

Mel lived his life with such a sense of fun and that is what he wished for his farewell.
Mel wanted everyone to wear red or a touch of red! At least bright colours "no black" is what he used to say. He didn't want people to be sad. He wants his send-off to be a happy celebration of his life!!
The Memorial Service for Melvyn (Mel) Edward Henry will be held at Curlewis Golf Course on FRIDAY (19th May) at 11am.

It has been a true honour to have known this great Bomber man. Mel would mange to make me laugh every time we talked, the best kind of humour and wit!
I was hoping to make it for the farewell today, however we are battling a nasty virus within our family this week.

Always the life of the party . Your happiness was infectious. Your dance moves unforgettable. You were so kind hearted you would always be willing to help others. You lived life with love and laughter. My thoughts are with you Carol and all the family. Sorry we can't be there Friday but we will wear something bright in honour of Mel.

Dear Mel you were such a sweet man with a touch of cheekiness. Always quick with a crack cooking the bbq at Pony Club or having a serious conversation lamenting Essendon’s latest woes. Your happy smile and groovy glasses will be missed.

Anyone who met my Uncle Mel, loved his passion for life. He was always full of energy and he definitely lived his life making an impact on everyone who knew him. Love to all the Henry family. He might be gone but he will never be forgotten.

What a beautiful neighbour to have .Always made me smile and great memories of lots of laughs. Kept a fantastic eye on our house and would always tell us who had come and gone.
