KIRK – Marion
Born Wednesday January 29, 1941. Passed away Thursday May 12, 2022.
Our proud ‘West Australian Sandgroper’ Marion has passed. At times cheeky, stoic, loyal; always active, always asking after you and thinking about you.
Wife of Doug (dec), Mum of Judy, Ian & Helen (dec). Grandma to Tim, Damon, Rohan, Millie and Beth.
Her humour, compassion for others, and good spirits continued to shine through as she faced adversity during the last nine months.
We’ll miss everything about you, now to be always in our memories, with love – the Kirk Family

To Judith and Ian and families my deepest condolences.
I was very sad for your family to hear of your mother’s passing.
Marion was a truly beautiful and gracious woman. She was always cheerful and caring, ready for chat. Over the years she always stayed in touch and could make you feel as if your last conversation was only last week! I’m sure all her friends will miss her.
Regards

Often regret and wish I had an opportunity to know my Grandmother Marion more, but from the stories my mother has told us, I know what she meant to her and the rest of her family and friends. Glad to at least be a small part of keeping her memory alive and hope those who knew her best remember the best times through this process and for years to come.

I remember Marion and Doug most for their warmth and great sense of humor. I was so honored when they made the trip all the way to Iceland for my first wedding and when I finally made it to Australia to visit them both two years ago I got such a warm welcome. Through the years Marion always made sure to keep in touch by sending a Christmas letter. For over 30 years she made sure we stayed in touch and when we met again I could feel I was still very much in their hearts.
Dear Ian, Judith and families, you must have so many wonderful memories of them that I hope will live in your hearts for the years to come. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of grief.
All my love, MargretMay 20, 2022 6:40 pm
Dear Ian & Judy
Thinking of you at this sad time as you mourn the loss of your Mother.
To Judy's boys & especially to Millie & Beth as you mourn the passing of your Grandma Kirk so close to the passing of Pa Kirk we send you much love. xx
Grandma was as you say a cheerful, friendly person & I have beautiful memories of big family events when you were young & Marion was there. Also as you say Grandma was a fighter but is at peace now. xx
I will not be able to come to the funeral in person but my thoughts & prayers will be with you and I will join with you by watching the livestream. xx
