Dearly loved by all his family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service for Alan George Miles to be held at the Portarlington Football Clubrooms, Boat Road, Portarlington on WEDNESDAY (June 7, 2023) commencing at 10.30am, followed by a Private Cremation.

Oh dear Pa, how I miss you already. It’s only been a week and it’s hit me so hard. I’ve lost a part of me, and with that it just proves that the love you have given me was like no other. I’m so happy that you were able to get your wings and fly to heaven, yes a new place you’re now calling home. I’m so happy you’re free, but most importantly I’ll miss being able to hug and kiss you. I’ll miss seeing you at Nans and having someone to cook me the best breakfast anyone has ever made me. You were always my number one Pa Alan, and I’ll always be forever grateful for the love that you have given me. You were my heart and now that you’ve gone I’ve lost a massive piece. But that’s okay I know it will mend soon. But for now I’ll grieve and remember all the good things you’ve done for me. I love you Pa

As I held ur hand so tight, I watch the angles above take u to a safe place…! It was so hard to watch but I know that u have been reunited with some of ur family and friends. You have just been the best dad that I could have asked for. I am so great full for everything u ever did for me and my family, specially for my girls. We can’t thank you enough. I miss you so much and my heart is breaking but I know u will watch over us and always be by our side. You will always be my King and I will always be your princess. RIP dad and don’t ever forget how much I love you xxx

Deepest dympathy to Leanne and family on Alan's sudden passing. I first met Al at the Portarlington footy club early 2000 when I was a trainer & committeeman. Al was the bar manager there for many years and we also cruised & boozed together with Leanne and his mate Mick. He will be greatly missed especially by all the older Port Demons supporters.

Alan. Your life was cut short but you achieved so much in your lifetime. You had a family who loved you, friends who envied you and acquaintances who admired you. You took your life in both hands and enjoyed everything you did with it. Don’t stop now Alan. Those upstairs may need joy and happiness.. What better person to assist with that. In time Alan, we will meet again. To Leanne and family. Alan may have gone away for now but he will never be forgotten. Cherish the memories of the great times.
